
‘Weeping Ash’ is a lament for our Times and a monument to a 204 year-old beloved tree in the Glasgow Botanic Gardens which had to be felled in 2022 due to ash dieback disease .
The concept for ‘Weeping Ash’ developed over a number of years through the convergence of several interests and processes within my life and my art practice in the urban landscape of Glasgow. I’ll briefly set out three of these strands. (continue reading)
