A series of small oil paintings, based on the experience of a Prinsjesdag celebration on The Lange Voorhout in The Hague, The Netherlands. For a few years my studio was on Willemstraat, just around the corner from the annual procession. Each year the inner city would be transformed to host this spectacle. The schools in The Hague were closed for the day and the streets were lined with many children and spectators. The paintings were exhibited in Galerie Schippers on Kazernestraat on Prinsjesdag 2011.
Each painting is on board and 25cm high.
